Robin Hood Joins the BBC
The world’s favourite outlaw will be teaming up with the BBC Symphony Orchestra when they play a new live film score to a special screening of the 1922 classic silent movie “Robin Hood”.
The event will take place at the Barbican, London on October 14th and the orchestra will perform a brand new musical score by Neil Brand, which as well as enhancing the many changing moods of the movie, also reflects its tense action and dark humour. The orchestra will be conducted by Timothy Brock and the performance begins at 7pm.
The award winning movie, produced by and starring Douglas Fairbanks, is acknowledged as a silent film classic and the emotive new score presents the audience with the best of both worlds. Whether you are a movie buff or a classical music fan the combination of both artistic genres makes this an evening not to be missed.
